This is a really special book. I loved it. “Tranquility, Transformation, Transcendence” provided more peace and joy than any book I have read in a long time. The photography is beautiful, often seeming more like a painting than a photograph, and Mary’s poetry is more personal for me than I could have ever imagined. She has blended her photography with her poetry in a truly magical collection of both and her book is a true Treasure.

This beautifully written book is a wonderful guide for anyone providing care to loved ones. The calm and soothing feelings start just flipping through the book and getting a great visual of lovely photos of nature. While I am not a current caregiver, I have been many times over both personally and professionally as a hospice nurse. I purchased this book recently to give to good friends care giving to their elderly parents, as many baby boomers are right now. The author offers up such practical advice on ways to think about yourself too while loving and caring for others. I love the size and that you can put it in your purse , pocket or backpack and bring it with you when you are away from home.

I read this book because my sister's husband has been diagnosed with Alzheimers and I wondered if the book could help my sister deal with all of the emotions and issues she is encountering as the spouse of an Alzheimer's patient. I could not put the book down, and immediately after finishing I sent it to my sister. This book is a "must read" for anyone who has a spouse diagnosed with dementia. Thank you Mary Doyle for your incredibly helpful book.
